Who writes this, and how we check it.
You should know who is behind what you read, what it is based on, and where its limits are.
Who writes it
Distraction Meter is run and written by Lebwerte, a non-profit association (Verein) based in Switzerland (lebwerte.com). Lebwerte writes the questions, the scoring and every text of the free result and the PRO plan, and is responsible for them.
We use AI writing tools to help draft. A person at Lebwerte reads, checks and approves every text before it is published, and Lebwerte remains responsible for it.
The meter software is licensed from the company that runs KeyTill, where the keys for the PRO plan are sold (who sells them is shown there, before you pay). The company doesn't write, edit or approve our content, and it never sees anyone's answers or results. Lebwerte receives no payment from KeyTill. (The details are in privacy.)
Professional review
Not yet done. The method and the texts have not yet been reviewed by an independent psychologist or occupational health professional. When a review is done, we will name the reviewer here, with their qualifications and the date. Until then, no page on this site claims to be reviewed by a professional. If you are qualified and would like to review it, please get in touch through the contact page.
What we hold ourselves to
- No shame. Distraction is mostly about environment and habit, not character. The texts say so.
- No invented people. No made-up testimonials, reviews, quotes or experts. Examples on the site are labelled as examples.
- Plain about limits. This is a structured self-check, not a diagnosis and not a validated scale. It is not an ADHD test.
- Care before tips. If your answers suggest low mood or exhaustion, the result says that first and points to help.
- Money doesn't write the content. The free result stands on its own, including three concrete things to try. The PRO plan adds a structured four-week plan; it doesn't hold back anything you need.
How we keep it accurate
- Before a text goes live, we check its facts against the sources and its numbers against the code that calculates the result.
- We review the whole site at least once a year. Each page shows when it was last updated.
